Social Action Projects . . .

In July 2011, South Holland and the Deepings Conservative Future took to the Skate Park on Holbeach road, Queens Road and Royce road for a great litter pick. Joined by the ward councillor Andrew Miller and his young daughter, Cllr. Anthony Casson and association Deputy Chairman Richard Carey, the team spent three hours filling over 20 large refuse sacks with litter. Finishing with a well deserved drink at the Springfields Tavern.

There is no excuse for littering. Why is it that some people think that the litter will tidy itself up? Is it safe to say we quite litterally live in a throw away society? The Skatepark has numerous bins situated all over, despite there being a litter pick just a few days before, the park was yet again littered with drinks cans and bottles, take away wrappers, sweet wrappers, cigarette packets and butts, and a whole lot more. Taxpayers valueable money goes towards paying for these bins, so why can't some people just make use of them.
